Though we have taken enough care to make sure your online transactions are secure, you also have a role to play to ensure online security. Here are some simple steps you can take to ensure the security of your transactions:

Maintain the secrecy of your Customer ID, Passwords, MPIN and other banking related credentials
Never disclose your Customer ID / Login ID or Passwords to anyone
Change your Login passwords periodically
Use passwords that are hard to guess. Avoid real words or those that can be easily identified, such as, name, family name, date of birth, telephone number, pet's name, parents' names, etc
Avoid using the same password on different websites
Always use unique passwords for each website. Always type the URL www.csb.co.in or https://netbanking.csb.co.in/ into your web browser to login
CSB Bank will never request for your passwords or any personal information on emails or pop-ups
We request you to update your anti-virus software with the latest virus signatures
We request you to do full virus scan before using online banking service if you suspect your computer is affected
If you suspect any fraudulent activity in your account, please contact us immediately

Fund transfer Information

As per the RBI circular dated Oct 14, 2010 transfer of funds through electronic mode will be executed only on the basis of the account number of the beneficiary provided while initiating the transaction, name will not be considered as criteria for providing credit. Please ensure that you enter the correct beneficiary account number.

Your Mobile number is an important component for CSB NetBanking fund transfer. Hence you are required to provide your correct mobile number. In case of theft/loss/change of your mobile number, please report the same to our support centre. Till any alternate mobile number is registered with the Bank or the registered mobile number is reactivated you shall not be able to use the NetBanking facilities.

Simple tips to protect yourself against online fraud

With a few simple steps, you can help protect your NetBanking account and personal information from fake emails and web sites:

The URL on the address bar of your browser should begin with "https".
Verify the security certificate by clicking on the padlock symbol in the status bar
Avoid using CSB Online Banking site from untrusted computers (e.g. Cyber café)
Use the Virtual Keypad for enhanced security to enter your net banking passwords.
Do not disclose them to anyone, not even bank employees.
Please change your password regularly
Keep your computer protected and updated with latest Antivirus and patches.
Close your browser to complete the sign out process
