The approved courses include graduation, post graduation, professional and vocational courses and certifications from recognized institutes.

We offer the following products under our education loans portfolio:

  • CSB Vidhya – For students pursuing studies in domestic institutions. Maximum loan amount that can be sanctioned is ₹10 lakhs. The repayment tenor is 15 years (excluding moratorium).
  • CSB Study Abroad – For students pursuing studies abroad. Maximum loan amount that can be sanctioned is ₹30 lakhs. The repayment tenor is 10 years (excluding moratorium).
  • CSB Excellence – For students pursuing studies in top rated institutions. Maximum loan amount that can be sanctioned is ₹20 lakhs. The repayment tenor is 15 years (excluding moratorium).

What is EMI?

EMI stands for Equated Monthly Installments. This instalment comprises both principal and interest components. Use the EMI calculator (along with this mail) to find out monthly payments based on the loan amount, the rate of interest and the repayment period.

How do we calculate EMI?

Formula of EMI : P X R X [(1+R)^N] /[(1+R)^N-1]
P= Principal or loan amount
R= Rate of Interest
N= Tenure ( loan terms in numbers of years)
EMI includes two major parameters- Principal and Interest. At Initial loan tenure, the Interest amount is higher and will progressively will get low. Further end of tenure, the principal amount proportion is large in EMI.

What are the expenses covered by education loans?

Education loans can be used for paying:

  • Tuition fees and hostel expenses
  • Exam, library, and lab fees if applicable
  • Any refundable caution deposits paid to the educational institute
  • Cost of books, uniforms, and other essentials for completion of course
  • Travel expenses (return fare for international flights).

Is their any Tax benefit of education loans ?

Yes, Under section 80E of income tax act 1961, tax relief for Interest component of EMI paid on education loan.
