CSB carries the expertise in handling capital account transactions. These transactions include Direct Investments by Residents in Joint Ventures (JV) / Wholly Owned Subsidiaries (WOS), Foreign Direct Investments in India (FDI), External Commercial Borrowings (ECB), etc.

  • Advisory services to customers investing in overseas Joint Ventures and Wholly Owned Subsidiaries.
  • Ensure smooth flow of investment by arranging necessary regulatory approvals from RBI.
  • Facilitates timely reporting of Annual Performance Report (APR).
  • Facilitates continuous updation of RBI notifications regarding Overseas Direct Investment.
  • Advisory services to customers for receipt of Foreign Investment to their accounts with CSB.
  • Provides guidance to FIRMS Portal (Registration and usage).
  • Ensure smooth flow of investment by arranging necessary regulatory approvals from RBI.
  • Facilitates timely reporting of Foreign Currency Gross Provisional Return (FC-GPR), Foreign Currency Transfer of Shares (FC-TRS) in case of transfer of shares, etc. to RBI.
  • Facilitates continuous updation of RBI notifications regarding Foreign Direct Investment.

The borrowings raised by the Indian corporate from specified banking sources outside India are termed "External Commercial Borrowings" (ECBs). These ECBs can be raised within the Policy guidelines of Govt. of India/Reserve Bank of India, as applicable from time to time. ECB includes the following:-

  • Commercial Loans/Syndicated Loans
  • Floating/Fixed rate notes and bonds
  • Lines of Credit from foreign banks and financial institutions
  • Import loans, loans from the export credit agencies of other countries.

CSB facilitates arrangement of various forms of ECB facilities for Indian Corporates.
